Our Commitment to Safety & Regulatory Compliance
In the world of luxury adventure travel, safety is the ultimate luxury. At Wakatobi Liveaboard Voyages, the safety and security of our guests and crew are our highest priority. As a premier entity within the Juara Holding Group, we operate with a level of professionalism and regulatory compliance that sets the standard for the industry in Indonesia. Our approach to safety is comprehensive, transparent, and uncompromising.
Corporate & Legal Compliance
We are a fully registered and compliant Indonesian company, providing our clients with the legal and financial protections that unregistered or overseas operators cannot. Our credentials include:
- Company Name: PT Juara Holding Indonesia
- SIUP-PARIWISATA (Tourism Business License): We hold a valid, top-tier license from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (Kemenparekraf), authorizing us to conduct comprehensive tour and travel services. Our license number is available upon request.
- NPWP (Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak): We are a registered taxpayer in Indonesia, contributing to the national economy and operating with full financial transparency.
- ASITA Membership: We are an active member of the Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies, adhering to its code of professional ethics.
- BPJS Ketenagakerjaan & Kesehatan: All our direct employees and the crews of our partner vessels are covered by Indonesia’s national social security and health insurance programs, ensuring their welfare and professional standing.
Maritime Safety Standards
Our maritime safety protocols, overseen by our Head of Maritime Operations, meet and often exceed both local and international standards. Every Wakatobi liveaboard in our portfolio must pass our rigorous annual safety audit, which verifies:
- Vessel Seaworthiness: All vessels must have a valid Surat Laut/Pas Besar (Certificate of Seaworthiness) issued by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut).
- SOLAS Compliance: We ensure all vessels are equipped with modern, regularly serviced safety equipment as per the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), including life rafts, EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), fire suppression systems, and personal flotation devices.
- Navigation & Communication: Mandatory equipment includes radar, multiple GPS units, depth sounders, AIS (Automatic Identification System), and long-range satellite phones for constant communication.
- Crew Certification: All captains and key crew members hold nationally recognized certifications (e.g., ANT for captains, ATT for engineers) and have completed STCW Basic Safety Training.
Diving & Emergency Protocols
Our in-water safety standards are just as stringent.
- Dive Operations: All diving is conducted under the supervision of certified PADI or SSI professionals. We ensure low guide-to-guest ratios, thorough pre-dive safety briefings, and strict adherence to depth and time limits.
- Emergency Equipment: All vessels are equipped with comprehensive first aid kits, emergency oxygen, and automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP): Each vessel has a detailed EAP for various scenarios, including medical emergencies, diver search and rescue, and vessel evacuation. These plans include direct contact information for the nearest hyperbaric chamber and the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas). We conduct regular drills to ensure crew readiness.
Guest Security & Well-being
From the moment you land in Indonesia until your departure, your security is paramount.
- Vetted Transportation: All ground transfers are conducted in modern, air-conditioned vehicles with professional drivers and GPS tracking.
- 24/7 Support: Our Jakarta-based operations team is on call 24/7 to assist with any issue, from a missed flight to a medical concern.
Our meticulous attention to safety and compliance is the invisible foundation upon which every extraordinary Wakatobi journey is built. It is our promise of peace of mind.
